In February 2016, ETON shirts gathered a few guests at the Grand Hotel restaurant Mathias Dahlgren in Stockholm Sweden, for an evening of fine dining and conversation around the modern day gentleman and the concept of gentleman of days gone by.
Led by Konrad Olsson, Editor at large of Plaza Uomo magazine, ETON shirts was able to convene an eclectic mix of personalities and perspectives to create a fresh, riveting conversation on a subject that has been talked about ad nauseam.
I believe the death of the gentleman was greatly initiated by media and its choice to use the term as a sales pitch rather than educate, giving it a rather questionable new definition.
While its difficult to deny that the title subsequently lost some of its shine, I trust the pillars of a gentleman’s code to never succumb to the hype.
